We are a homegrown South African company with massive impact locally, in Africa and internationally.

FluidRock comprises an incredible team of about 70 FluidRockers that includes attorneys, legal, compliance and corporate governance professionals and team members from a wide array of backgrounds that enrich the team with valuable insights and input.

OUR OWNERSHIP

FluidRock is a proudly South African BEE Level 2, majority female owned company, of which 51% is broad-based black female owned.

FluidRock is the result of four companies merging in October 2018 and finalising a B-BBEE transaction to ensure that underprivileged rural women will benefit from our endeavours. One of our partners is the Phakamani Foundation that helps South African women lift themselves out of poverty. The Phakamani Foundation does exceptional work and not only are they a shareholder of FluidRock, but we also assist them with  corporate governance training and services to ensure they are a well-governed and sustainable organisation. We support three organisations as part of our social and relationship capital and as we believe it is the right thing to do.

Huis Ebenhaeser

Motivated by the plight of neglect, abandonment and desperation of children and abused mothers in their community, Huis Ebenhaeser was founded in 1981 by Johnny and Soekie Thomas converting their home into a refuge and safe haven. Huis Ebenhaeser was formed as a faith-based non profit organization to provide a safe and stable home for children who have been neglected, abandoned, abused or caught up in family turmoil. Today, Huis Ebenhaeser does more than just house these children. They ensure that the children get good medical care, nourishing food, proper clothes, and an education. They provide counseling, lots of love, attention, and a positive lifestyle. But the most important thing they give the children is hope for a better future. Huis Ebenhaeser is located in Daspoort Pretoria North.

Amazing Graces

Amazing Graces Social Investments (2011/009633/08; PBO ref 930 040 869) is a non-profit, non-denominational, Christian-based  organization, based in Centurion. Amazing Graces works towards improving the lives of South Africans, especially the youth, in disadvantaged areas to advance the Kingdom of God by (1) changing the hearts and minds of people; (2) empowering them with knowledge and skills; and (3) creating self-sustainable societies by way of food gardens. The Amazing Graces projects channel the goodwill and resources of South Africans to poor communities to address the physical, social and spiritual needs of the people, and develop intercultural understanding and appreciation of one another.

FluidRock supports Amazing Graces by means of financial and administrative support. The Executive Chair of FluidRock is also a director of Amazing Graces and provides the required legal and governance advice free of charge. Vastfontein Community Transformation

Vastfontein (2003/003122/08; PBO reg: 9300 08 399) is a non-profit company that focuses on the development and social upliftment of its  surrounding communities.  Vastfontein is situated 40km north of Pretoria near Hammanskraal and Soshanguve. Since its inception in June 1998 it grew from a small concern managed by individuals on a part-time basis to a non-profit company that owns the 17ha property on which it operates with a full time staff complement of more than 50 people. While Vastfontein focuses on education, skills development, emotional and social wellness, training & development and critical community needs (projects), its main activity is the primary and high school that has been established on the property and that caters for the critical educational needs of more than 300 impoverished children, many of whom also rely on the school for a meal a day.

FluidRock supports Vastfontein in various ways including contributing financially on a monthly basis, our Executive Chair is the Chair of the Vastfontein Board and our team members in their individual capacities make financial contributions.

Phakamani Foundation

Phakamani Foundation addresses poverty and chronic unemployment in rural South Africa by helping people create their own livelihoods through micro-enterprise. Our integrated programme of training, group loans, and ongoing support leads to income, savings, and hope for the next generation.
