Kris Dobie
Executive, Organisational Ethics, The Ethics Institute
Kris Dobie is Executive for Organisational Ethics at The Ethics Institute (TEI), based in Pretoria, South Africa. His fields of interest include corruption prevention, conflict of interest management, and AI Ethics.
He has worked with the South African Government on numerous policy projects since 2005, including developing the South African Local Government Anti-Corruption Strategy, and the Code for Ethical Leadership in Local Government.
Kris has authored or co-authored various publications, including:
- The South African Citizens’ Bribery Survey
- The Public Sector Ethics Survey
- The Conflict of Interest Handbook in 2023
- The Guidebook on Managing the Ethics of AI in organisations in 2025.
He holds a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Pretoria, as well as MPhil in Workplace Ethics (Cum Laude) from the same institution.
