Carina is a seasoned executive and multiple award-winning general counsel and leader, with experience in the mining and financial services industries. She is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, a fellow and past president of the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa, as well as past president of the Corporate Secretaries International Association.

In addition to acting in an advisory capacity, she has extensive nonexecutive director and audit committee member and chair experience serving in both public service and commercial companies over the past 20 years. She currently serves as NED on the Institute of Directors South Africa and on various Alexforbes subsidiaries.

Carina is a respected thought leader, with a broad range of academic and other publications and a regular speaker internationally.
