Why this standard
Good governance finally has a common language.
The International Organisation for Standardisation has published the first international benchmark for good governance, approved unanimously. ISO 37000 gives guidance on governing organisations of every size and type, in every jurisdiction. Just as importantly, it gives them a shared vocabulary for talking about it.
Governing well is not only a matter of trust. It improves how a business performs, and it carries directly into social and environmental integrity. ISO 37000 hands the governing body the tools to do it: to perform effectively while behaving ethically and responsibly.
The pursuit of purpose is at the centre of all organisations and is, therefore, of primary importance for the governance of organisations.ISO 37000:2021
How the hybrid works
Two components, one qualification.
Study the standard in your own time, then bring your questions into the room. Both halves are included in the fee.
Component one
Digital modules
Recorded video, written text and take-away documents, presented by the standard’s co-editor, Carolynn Chalmers. This is where the foundational understanding is built: the definitions, the scope, and how the principles fit together.
±15 hours · self-paced · FluidRock web portal
Component two
Live online sessions
Four facilitated evening sessions with highly qualified, practising governance professionals. Each works through a tier of the standard with a case study, and the last prepares you for the exam.
4 sessions · 2 hours each · 17:30 to 19:30
